Aija Pope is the CEO of TerraWaste Holding B.V., a company specializing in advanced chemical recycling processes. With a degree in communication science, Aija has worn many hats before stepping into her current role, including PR manager, marketing manager, and COO. She found her calling in entrepreneurship in 2020, focusing on deep-tech startup development. TerraWaste is on a mission to recycle plastics and various types of waste through a pollution-free process, converting them into high-value chemicals, oil, and biochar. The technology they use is a high-pressure/high-temperature Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) system designed for efficient use of energy, water, and catalysts, producing zero waste.
