Climate Entrepreneurship and Lessons from Female Founders
Discover how Carbon13 supports female founders to build climate startups to reduce carbon emissions by millions of tonnes.
Welcome to Carbon13’s webinar for female leaders who are passionate about climate innovation and want to build a startup to reduce GHG emissions.
A panel of female founders from past Carbon13 cohorts will share their climate tech entrepreneurship journey, including what led them to make the leap into starting their own companies. There will be plenty of Q&A as they discuss their experiences of building an ambitious climate startup and how Carbon13 helped them to achieve this, including:
Overcoming the challenges of finding a cofounder
Maximising the potential carbon impact of their ideas
Raising investment for complex solutions in the decarbonisation space
The panel will be hosted by Carbon13 Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Stephanie Alys, who will also introduce you to the vital impact that can only be achieved with properly funded and supported female founders. She will illustrate how Carbon13’s Venture Builder has become the best platform for launching a scalable climate startup, thanks to our focus on the biggest opportunities for decarbonisation and carbon capture – but also our approach of supporting our cohort of 80 founders to build strong teams with each other, with wellness and healthy habits at their heart.

Who’s eligible for Carbon13’s Venture Builder?
There is only one requirement to apply for Carbon13: the absolute commitment to reducing emissions through a scalable venture.
If you want to play your part in saving the climate and spend your time on making a meaningful impact, then you should apply to Carbon13.
Unlike other programmes, we do not require founders to already have a startup idea or cofounder (though both are also welcome). We assess applicants on their potential as people, not on the potential of their idea. Therefore, we can help you whether you’re already working on your startup, or are completely new to entrepreneurship and climate.
Thanks to Carbon13 for news and the graphics for this virtual startup event.
