Start Studio Discovery Information Session

Join us Wednesday, Feb. 28, for the Start Studio Discovery Spring 2024 Information Session. Our Tech-based Programs team will cover program content, introduce entrepreneurs to the customer discovery process and provide application support.

If you've got just an inkling of an idea for a tech-based or tech-enabled business, or are already working on your tech startup, this is the place for you! Start Studio Discovery is TechTown Detroit’s 10-week entry point program focused on one of the most critical initial phases of a tech startup: customer discovery.

During this information session, you will learn about the support entrepreneurs receive during the program, as well as TechTown's Strategy Sessions with customer discovery specialists. Strategy Sessions are free, one-on-one consultations with TechTown business strategists to discuss roadblocks and goals. The strategists will coach you through the art of the customer discovery interview — what it is, how to ask the right questions and how to get closer to solving a unique problem for your customers.

We'll leave plenty of time for Q&A, so come prepared with your questions!

Speakers will include:

  • Stefan Sysko, Facilitator-In-Residence

  • David Webber, Entrepreneur-In-Residence

  • Marlin Williams, Entrepreneur-In-Residence

  • Mack Hendricks, Entrepreneur-In-Residence

  • Shaun McGuire, Customer Discovery Specialist

  • Nakim Edmond, Customer Discovery Specialist

  • Zach Shorufi, Customer Discovery Specialist

Start Studio is made possible with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the William Davidson Foundation.

Thanks to TechTown Detroit for the listing and graphics for this virtual startup event.
